Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industries (MOA), incorporated pursuant to Act 49, the Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia Malaysia 1971. This Act is effective for the states in the peninsula on November 1, 1971; Sarawak on July 1, 1973, and in Sabah on August 1, 1995.
