Perlis Economic Development Corporation, formerly known as the perlis Perlis Development Corporation was established in perlis enactment no. 6 in 1973 and with effect from september 1, 1973. In 1973, the state government through ekankmen no. 3 of 1984 has made some alterations to the mother enactment (enactment no. 6 of 1973) that involve a number of section (section 4, section 7, section 8, section 9 and so on) is to adapt to the current situation and perkembanguan. Beginning may 1, 1985, the corporation was changed to the new name as it is called nowadays the "Perlis State Economic Development Corporation" in accordance with the following functions for the advancement of economic affairs sector in perlis. The name change was approved by the perlis enactment bill. 7 of 1985. In 1991, the state government has approved another amendment to the enactment of mothers with request to extend the powers of section 18 of the corporation. The amendment passed by enactment no. 2 of 1991. The corporation is also amplified by the general manager prior to row now which still maintains the rules and principles of the establishment of origin.
